Practice Boundary Area
Use the postcode checker to the right or use the below link to check if you live within our practice catchment area.
If you do not live within our practice boundary, you may still be eligible to register, but you will need to read the information about out of area registration below before applying.
Click here to check if you are within the practice catchment.
We endeavour to process registrations immediately to enable a smooth transition from one practice to another. Please note though that it can sometimes take several weeks for records to transfer from your previous GP practice. You can still be seen during this period, but it would be very helpful to bring in any copies of old prescriptions or relevant letters if you are needing medications during this time.
Out of Area Registration
If you live outside our practice boundary, you can register with us, but please note that we might not provide home visits or out-of-hours services.
In such cases, you may be directed to NHS 111. This option is best if you don't anticipate needing home visits or certain community services. If your health needs change, we may suggest registering with a practice closer to your home.
To apply as an out-of-area patient, use the online form and proceed even if you see a warning about your address.

Temporary Patient Registrations
If you are ill while away from home or not registered with a GP, you can receive emergency treatment from a local GP practice for up to 14 days. After this, you’ll need to register as a temporary or permanent patient.
You can be a temporary patient for up to three months, whilst staying on your permanent GP's list. After that, you must re-register as temporary or become a permanent patient.
To register as a temporary patient, contact the local practice. While they are not obligated to accept you, they must provide emergency care. You cannot register temporarily at a practice where you're already registered.
Non-English Speakers
These fact sheets have been written to explain the role of UK health services, the National Health Service (NHS), to newly-arrived individuals seeking asylum. They cover issues such as the role of GPs, their function as gatekeepers to the health services, how to register and how to access emergency services.
Special care has been taken to ensure that information is given in clear language, and the content and style has been tested with user groups.
